Nine Network Airs Program on St. Louis Literary Award

7 pm KETC broadcast on Monday, January 25 features internationally – celebrated Israeli writer David Grossman, recipient of the St. Louis Literary Award and the fifty year civic contributions of SLU Library Associates.

David Grossman, a writer whose exceptional humanity, grace, and brilliance as a storyteller have earned him acclaim around the world, is the best-selling author of many works of fiction, nonfiction, and children’s literature, which have been translated into thirty-six languages.

The St. Louis Literary Award

The St. Louis Literary Award honors the greatest writers of our time and celebrates the contribution of literature to enriching our lives.
To share this remarkable treasure with the widest possible audience, the SLU Library Associates and the NineNetwork of Public Media (KETC/Channel 9) have collaborated to produce a broadcast program on the St. Louis Literary Award.

The program features the 2015 award ceremony and honoree David Grossman as well as the distinguished history of the St. Louis Literary award. The program will also be featured and archived on NineNet.org.

SLU Library Associates

For the past fifty years, the Saint Louis University Library Associates have conferred the St. Louis Literary Award on the most important writers of our time, including W. H. Auden, Barbara Tuchman, Tennessee Williams, James A. Michener, Eudora Welty, Saul Bellow, Joyce Carol Oates, and Edward Albee, among many other distinguished masters of the written word.
